We invite you to get in contact with experts from industry, learn about technical challenges they face and discuss together possible approaches on how to solve these challenges. The target audience is young researchers who want to learn about applied research outside academia, but also senior researchers who seek interesting collaborations with industry partners.

Hitachi Energy

Hitachi Energy is active in the power grid sector where it pushes the transition to renewable energy. Their product portfolio includes, e.g., high-voltage switchgear and breakers, transformers, capacitors and semiconductors, as well as the control and automation of power grid components.

Huber + Suhner

Huber + Suhner develops and produces components and system solutions for electrical and optical connections. Their products are applied in communication technology, transportation systems and various other industries (e.g., energy, medtech, aerospace, ...).

IMT AG

IMT operates in the field of microstructuring of metallic coatings and planar optical substrates. Their solutions are used in the semiconductor industry, medical technology, biophotonics, life sciences, sports optics and in optical measurement technology.

Sensirion

Sensirion is a leading manufacturer of environmental and flow sensors. Their sensors are used in the automotive industry, medical technology, building technology, industrial processes and various consumer goods.

During the workshop, participants get the chance to work on two of the presented technical challenges in detail. After the registration deadline, participants receive more information about the challenges and can prioritize which attending company they are most interested in. Participants will get allocated accordingly.
