Title of Talk: "Challenges and Opportunities of Generative AI: Swiss and Global Perspectives"
The rapid growth of performance of Generative AI models allows for completely new dogma in the creation of business models, not only in advanced manufacturing, but can disrupt how we will “produce” the goods and services we are handling in the future. While this is true for hardware manufacturing and their design and production lines, this is equally true for digital goods and service (software) development processes as well. We see methods and techniques from both worlds growing together.  What can we learn from combining experience of these different paths of advanced manufacturing and will our children still distinguish between both of them?

Daniel Dobos is the research director of data, analytics & AI at Swisscom. He holds a PhD in physics and can look back on 22 years of experience as a researcher at CERN, where he focused on big data and advanced data analytics. In 2022, Daniel joined Swisscom, where he is responsible for research projects and academic relations in the field of data science and artificial intelligence.
