About usThe idea to establish and organize Swiss Advanced Manufacturing Community Events (SAMCE) was born back in 2019. At that time, a few colleagues who had already experience with organizing similar events inside one institution discussed the idea of a Swiss-wide scientific community event. We recognized the need to facilitate and foster scientific exchange not only inside individual research organizations, but also across institutions and disciplines. The idea of the Swiss Advanced Manufacturing Community Events (SAMCE) was born.
Today, we are a group of experienced colleagues from various research related Swiss organizations who share the aim to strengthen the scientific community and to foster scientific exchange and collaboration in advanced manufacturing in Switzerland. Organizing team
The organizing team is the heart of SAMCE. It is responsible for the strategy, the concept and the thematic framing of the initiative and its events. Equipped with diverse backgrounds and skill sets, and working in different functions in various science-related organizations in Switzerland, the team aims to create new event formats and concepts that attract young scientists who want to develop pioneering and sustainable manufacturing technologies.
