The Swiss Advanced Manufacturing Community Events (SAMCE) are especially made for junior scientists, such as graduates, doctoral students and postdocs, as well as other academic staff active in advanced manufacturing in Switzerland. We also welcome senior master students who want to present their research activities and projects in advanced manufacturing that are related to their master theses.

We are looking for active participants who strive for scientific exchange and who are prepared to share and discuss ideas, to support and to work with colleagues across disciplines and institutions. We are looking for contributions for the following 12 session topics referring either to production technologies or to cross-technology topics:

The bowling alley is located within 10-15 minutes (1 km) walking distance of the Siggenthal-Würenlingen train station. Trains to Baden leave every 30 minutes.
The participation in SAMCE 2024 is free of charge, but the number of participants is limited. Priority is given to participants who submit a contribution.
The following extended deadlines apply:
  • September 15 - Abstract submission (please use the template)
  • October 10 - Registration without a contribution
You can give two kinds of talks:
Picture
CONNECT
Researchers shortly present a challenge they are currently facing and for which they are seeking a new perspective (recommended for early stage researchers).
Picture
IGNITE
Researchers present in short pitches new cutting-edge technologies and their ideas on how they cross borders and enter unknown territory.
Each talk lasts 3 minutes. Every session is followed by an EXCHANGE module (30 minutes) where speakers can discuss their pitches with other participants. The different program modules are described in more detail on this page.
