The Swiss Advanced Manufacturing Community Events (SAMCE) are especially made for junior scientists, such as graduates, doctoral students and postdocs, as well as other academic staff active in advanced manufacturing in Switzerland. We also welcome senior master students who want to present their research activities and projects in advanced manufacturing that are related to their master theses.
We are looking for active participants who strive for scientific exchange and who are prepared to share and discuss ideas, to support and to work with colleagues across disciplines and institutions. We are looking for contributions for the following 12 topics referring either to production technologies or to cross-technology topics:

With our summer event we brought together and inspired our community in advanced manufacturing in our first in-person event. We had a dense and diversified program with different modules which are described in more detail on this page. On the second day of the event, the participants could attend optional industry workshops.

Industry Workshop (16 September 2022)
On the second day of the event, we are offering the opportunity to get in contact with experts from industry, learn about technical challenges they face and discuss together possible approaches on how to solve these challenges. The target audience is young researchers who want to learn about applied research outside academia, but also senior researchers who seek interesting collaborations with industry partners.
This year, representatives from Maxon, Precipart and Melexis will join the industry workshop.
